you forget bitcoin was designed by a genius. theres nothing wrong with the status quo. block size? patience. we don't want to make mistakes like eth and dao.
Its a good thing we don't want to make mistakes like ETH and DAO. If we make an error like that that will be very damaging for bitcoin itself, bitcoin is the king of all cryptocurrencies and we don't want to lose that title ever. Bitcoin is in top form and it should continue to remain like this for the benefit of all us here the bitcoin users.
This is my expectation as well. The bitcoin is much simpler than the Ethereum. It has been tested to be successful.
