You cut your losses early before it crashes to 50% loss because it is harder to recoup a 50% loss. You will need a 2x just for that and it is not common anymore.

If you just lost 10%, it's easier to recoup with other obviously uptrending coins. Better to rebuy if the coin is actually going up rather than risk a crash to low 500 satoshis.

Those waiting to sell at breakeven are praying that some dumb nut buys or else they'll probably baghold for the next three months.
