confirmation times is depends on the site that you want to invest in, other site has long confirmation time but other is instant Grin

maybe bitcoin developers will fix that soon.

There is nothing developers can do really about confirmation time. Reason being once the chain is overwhelmed with transactions, miners choose transactions with higher fees and hence some are left unconfirmed. This might happen even with 100MB block size.
