Is there such a thing as a Windows user running the daemon? Seems counter intuitive to me.

as long things like m$ IIS exist, there is a chance someone would need a windoze deamon.
I haven't looked, but does github give dl stats? It would be interesting to know how many were ever downloaded... shit even for bitcoin itself
