All profits in stocks, trading, or any other active investment must be denominated in a base currency. I'd rather just hold the currency of the Internet Bitcoin and add to my bag each week by being smart with the food I eat.
I also think that the trading or investment may be great potential for generating bitcoin, however, it is quite risky, and probably the best thing you can do to make a profit is by holding your bitcoin and waiting for profits.
Bitcoins if bought at a lower/minimum rate can definitely be profitable as it has the potential to rise to above $1.5k but the issue is holding it for so long while it isn't even considered a legal currency anywhere and has no definite future. How much time would you consider holding 1-2 BTC? I think 1 year is max and not 4-5 years.
