Is there a way to understand why the value is skyrocketing?
yeah there is a reason why price rises like this now, it is because many people buys bitcoins right now, even if there are only 2 weeks left till halving, people still buy
and they buy these bitcoins now because they hope to sell them for larger price after halving, as price will rise then for sure, maybe even 2 times so people want's to buy more bitcoins now
People will still buy the bitcoin. But the reason for me to buy is not the halving. I do not think the price will rise due to halving after halving.
