As Lauda said, it's no good to set a precedent for creating a section per altcoin. Then we'd need thousands of altcoin sections.

I do think that Monero is probably the best altcoin right now, since it actually does something major that Bitcoin doesn't, even if its scaling is terrible and it'll probably be replaced by a Bitcoin sidechain someday. Achieving Monero-style anonymity for everyone should be a long-term goal of Bitcoin.

Time will also tell how Monero's disinflation compares to Bitcoin's deflation when it comes to securing the network in the long-term, once fees exceed (and then dwarf) the block reward. That's one thing that Bitcoin can't do, even with sidechains. I'm really interested to see how things play out.

In theory Bitcoin could do that, if it were to break it's social contract and add a tail emission after block subsidies are at 0.

But I somehow doubt that it will ever materialize in the bitcoin protocol.
