Yea this project has been floundering for the last year or so but hopefully now we have the backing and support to get the ball rolling again.
We have a development roadmap but it's private right now and needs some work before it's released publicly. Stay tuned!

We're going to be adding a fast sync option in the new desktop wallet, until then I'll upload a fresh copy of blk0001.dat and post a download link here.
