Well, the effect won't be immediate, give it some time. The only things I have noticed is that blocks have been confirming faster today, but maybe it was just a coincidence (I did not check every block, I am just talking about the ones I saw on the blockchain blockexplorer).

I just wonder how profitable will pacmics be after this, I was thinking on buying one of those contracts but I was expecting for the halving to happen before.
