I usually use BTC to transfer money to my family. It is faster than traditional cash transfer not so mention cheap or at no cost at all. I also use BTC to my "load" for my smart phone. *"load" is call/text/data credits for phone.  Aside from the convenience I get 5% rebate from it. There are times that I offer my friends if they want to to experience getting their smart phone "loaded" using bitcoins. When they see that the transaction goes through right away they are blown away.
