I did not know that people lived past 45.  Last time I checked I was living on the set of Logan's Run.

In all seriousness, people over 45 usually are established financially and just purchase it rather than try signature campaign or faucets.  I am pretty sure that people over 45 don't have computers though.
read few pages back and you'll found some people whose above 45 get involved in bitcoin and if you think they don't own even a single computer you're wrong,some of them are quite advanced on technology,and not all people whp's 45 years old or above have an establishment financial
Which is kind of tragic to be honest, but it can't alway be avoided. It's a shame there aren't more ways to help people be better prepared for retirement or anything before the age of 45, but I guess it doesn't always work in one's favour.

As for people over the age of 45 getting involved with Bitcoin, that's probably one of the better things that can happen, since it spreads out the demographics and it gets a lot more people doing things. I would say that anyone who is over 45 who starts to participate is a great thing, and I hope it helps them in the future.
