I tried to planeta-RTR one of the big Russian tv company... Sadly there are no English subtitles but it was interesting... Big thunder storm in Moscow and they show some kind of meeting with Putin and his ministers (or at least it's what it looked like but it could be anyone and about anything I have no idea). There was one young guy standing in front of him... Not the type to splurge in the blood of the Syrian people... The others they were drowning in it.
Government TV loves to show politicians. All the time you see their faces on the TV.  They have different amount of popularity depending on the country.

But still totally apparatchiks and no spark or brightness... No like in China when you can see life.. In Russia there was to my opinion some kind of sadness and boringness... Where is the magic of Anastasia gone?!? Lost in the mass graves of syria or chechenia?
Moscow has 16*c, it's not a nice temperature to be outside. Sochi has 28*c
