Not sure if your trolling but reporting really does help.  There are accounts out there that just troll... getting rid of those comments helps forum.  Also there is a lot of spam sometimes a website makes multiple account's and post's crap posts to promote.   And there are some post that are so bad they add what I call one liners like "I agree good info!".   This is just some of the utter crud that pop's up.

I think reporting is a good thing for the forum's.   We don't know what they reported in this... but for them to agree chances are it was utter crap posts.  So I would say it helps forum  greatly having a lot report post's (assuming they are correctly reporting).
