I don't think you can just use the name WSOP don't you have lawyers to tell u these things ? unless u have an agreement with the WSOP people inplace u will get sued into the stone age.
I dont believe that the letters "WSOP" is trademarked. Now the logo is definitely trademarked and cannot be used or registered.
Edit: actually the letters are trademarked and cannot be used in the title of any contest.
In this situation we are not promoting the WSOP nor trying to trade in on their name. This is not a satellite tournament, nor a WSOP-sanctioned event. This is simply a descriptive, factual title to describe the players in it. For example WSOP winner Johnny Chan is not a problem to use, and in our case we have 3 of them playing, at a minimum.
When their people call our people we'll be happy to discuss
