Now some of you may wonder what desire is there for a library card? Some people (myself included) have awful local libraries. My local library has 2500 ebooks and I can take 2 out at a time for 21 days. And their selection is awful. So I can use my chicago library card and have a great selection, take up to 20 out at a time.
