Of course github can be hacked. F**in icloud,pentagon and NASA got hacked...
Do you think your bank account is safer? Or your personal data stored by various SSL websites?
That's why we have these long passphrases in HZ, to provide extra security, but the final vulnerability is our own personal computer. That's how i lost everything i ever owned last year. A bored hacker and a vulnerable PC. I've learned from that lesson, upped my security and moved on.
We can't live in constant fear of being hacked. We can take measures to prevent it, but that's about it. If we let ourselves and our decisions be driven by that fear, we might as well give up and be shepherds on top of a mountain.
And @freigeist , this is not me taking a shot at what you say, it's me pointing out that no matter what we do, we can't fully hide. But unless we're billionaires targeted by hackers, or really unlucky like i was, we should be good in the long run
