It runs fine on a rooted Marshmallow device... I know, because I just installed it and it is running fine 
What it does do, is pop up a big scary warning saying that "the device security is compromised because it is rooted and any app can access any other app's keystore data and steal your bitcoins"... which is technically true, but only if an app has been granted root permissions... so like with most security things, you need to be smart and sensible about what you're doing with your device...
Having a rooted device doesn't mean any old app can just auto install and steal all your data/bitcoins... first of all it has to get on your device, then you have to run it... then you have to grant it root permissions...
Anyway, as far as the app goes... it looks OK... but @breadwallet_dan will you be putting in a "dark" theme? That VERY bright white theme is a killer for my eyes
And I know all the AMOLED screen device users will love you for sparing their batteries by offering a black theme
