it might be my imagination but it almost seems as if it doesnt bother to update new chain blocks until or if someone connects to it, then it runs away madly catching up before responding to the web user request.

so, more frequent access would make for less delay?
who knows...
probably my imagination. but it does seem to eventually answer a web request if you are patient enough.
