We just had a major drop to $550 levels. Bitcoin prices of $10k+ seems further away than the moon. Maybe our grand kids will be glad we saved some bitcoins. But these price levels wont be reached during our lifetime. Unfortunately =/
That's just the cause of Bitfinex's hack. That's just temporary. If a little 100$ drop makes you panic you do not deserve your bitcoins. You better give them to someone stronger than you, as me
...The recent price drop has nothing to do with the bitcoin itself, it is just the problem of a single exchange.
