Now that my babygirl grew up, I can continue with my involvement in the EGC solar miner and the strato EGC.
It might be worth looking back at the conversations a few weeks ago as a few of us have been trying out other small computers (pine64/CHIP) as possible options for a solar staker as well. The CHIP could be promising as it has lipo charging, wifi and eMMC memory on board.
With my CHIP and a 3000mAh battery I was able to get almost 10 hours of running time. I'm now waiting on a 5000mAh cell to test that (I'd hope it get's over 15 hours reliably). Unfortunately I'm not in a particularly good location for testing solar.
I have planned to use either a 30A lipo solar battery( need some modification, as the solar panel is only 1.8 Watts) or a 7 A lead-acid battery.
I have them both and with the 30 A lipo batt ( it is a chinese thing, but I guess it is something around 10A-ish, I was able to get 19 hours for the Raspberry pi2.)
Now that the version 3 of Raspbery is available, the final version would have a pi3 as it has wifi as well.
now that the price is sweet, I will order 2-3 Raspi 3 and create maybe a solar node. much easier to mantain than a vps.
I am a little bit in shock with the price, and happy that I was one of the many early adopters.
updates to follow.

Good to see ya back in action.
