We have seen a growth, but not all units have arrived yet, so we should see a big spike in a week or so.

Am I missing something?Yes, you're missing variance. The network hashrate fluctuates constantly, but it has been growing steadily, in part due to Avalon users receiving units.
As mentioned there are several threads around here that contain posts by people that claim to have received Avalon units, most are in China.
