yeah and you can tweak it to the unbelievable level of 80-90w for 30MH, just decrease the core and the power limit and increase the mem
no other card can match this result at the moment, i'm still laughing at those saying that 1070 was trash in etheruem...
If only a 1070 didn't cost more than the price of a couple of 970, I would have surely took one, except if you, Amph, can advise me to take a 1070 instead of the couple of 970 I'm planning to buy.
i personally don't like living in the past when it come to IT or HW in general, the only reson to buy a 970 would be if your budget is low and your electricity is very very cheap
otherwise we are talking about 30MH at 80-90w against 44MH at 300w
Me, that's the inverse, I tend to prefer old tech for its finished improvements and its low price. I really don't care of Ethereum, this is just a backup option. On other algorithms, is the level consumption gap so big ? I doubt about it. Also, two 970 surely craft more coins daily than a single 1070.
on other coins the 1070 is even better than a 970, a 970 can barely do 150MH on lybry, for 300w or more a single 1070 can do almost 300MH with half the wattage...
Yeah, for LBRY, that you seem to like pretty much, the gap is wide, but for something like Groestl, Neoscrypt or LyraRE2V2, can the fact that a 1070 is more than 2x more expensive compensate the gain in hashrate and the reduction in power consumption ? Also, can the 1060, given that's there only about 60$ of difference from a 970 and better performances, be the best compromise ?
