That is a weird placement of the cooling fins... some have a fan direct over them, some are in their own hotair pocket.
The machines needs more fans! Look at BFL... you can never have enough fans, even for a vapourware product...
Is the distance from the bottom of the case to the lower row of fans greater on the inside view than on the outside view?
The house is bigger on the inside.
