Yes if any of you take a couple of minutes to read the 2016 roadmap it mentions plans to eliminate false positives from virus packages. I can remember the same thing happening with bitcoin and at least one alt coin i've downloaded over the years.
Always good to be cautious and check signature.

I interpret this as AV software alerting/blocking the download of blockchain data and not false positives in the wallet itself.
These might very well be all false positives in the virustotal scan, though some of the detections do not sound like the well known "bitcoinminer-XY-bla". When you compare scans from 10.2.2 and 10.4.0 there is quite a difference in number and kind of positives:
I am not in the position to judge if there is something fishy with the 10.4.0 binaries for windows, I have no windows and not much experience in nowadays virus threats but I for myself would certainly not touch the 10.4.0 windows wallet with above info at hand.
