If you stake through your computer, won't the staked coins wait until you turn your computer back on before they are added to your wallet. So, if coins were mined while your computer was off, the coins simply wait in line for your computer to be turned on; thus, you don't necessary need to keep your computer on 24/7.
I hope my question was clear.
I'm no staking expert, but it seems to be different for different coins is the best answer I can give.
I find with CRX I make way more coins if I keep my wallet open. It could be just from actually seeing it happen, though.

I still wonder whether if your computer is off you lose staked coins. I hope they simply line up and wait for until the computer is turned back on in order to enter your wallet.
