lets take it over, clean it up and do it the right way
it would be great idea, new peepcoin with low supply like 20million coin (10m airdrop + 10m pow) + c-cex already paid.it would be easy to hard fork, or we could just clean up the chain, i have a couple servers that could provide nodes
With all the coins out there a hard fork isn't going to cut it. Then you are going to have people wanting the coins the DEV promised. Better to start a new chain from the beginning.
I agree that in principle the idea seems flawed, but there's a couple of positives going for a relaunch...
- There's plenty of interest as evidenced by this thread, even if it's full of people who thought they were getting a cool half mill for free
- A reasonably significant amount of $ and effort has been put into voting the coin in, which for a brand new coin is never going to be easy
Pretty much no question about restarting the chain from scratch though, a hard fork would not change that there's a massive premine in block 1, which can be dumped at will by the existing dev. The only way I could think of to hard fork the existing chain would be to make future block rewards ridiculously high, so that the value of the premine (and existing mined blocks
) becomes relatively insignificant, but that would cause other problems... if 1 PCN @10,000 block reward is worth less than 1 sat imagine how worthless 1 PCN @1,000,000 block reward would be? I don't think that's a practical solution.
