I was thinking of spending some $100 renting a powerful online cloud computer to get a large % of coins soon after a coin launches. How many khash/s do you get for $100?

Is it the cheapest way to mine a coin, using a cloud based service? Also... where is a guide to doing this, am I right in thinking Amazon offers this service?
