It would be easier to show us the transaction ID so we can at least see what the potential reason for the (according to you) high fee is. The most likely reason for the fee to be in that range, is your transaction being in the higher Bytes regions. At least higher than average. If blockchain.info let your transaction go through with a normal fee, then you would have to wait a long time to see it getting its first confirmation. Pools in some cases ignore these transactions when no higher than average fee is added.
