Actually he is just waiting for margin trading to begin on Lisk which is supposed to happen any day now. Then he will leverage the Lisk to earn even more... In the meantime he is driving the price down to get more Lisk. It really is very straightforward...

It's quite fun to watch. He will probably use some of that 500 BTC which he has on poloniex to open up a short position on Lisk. Then he will put up his giant wall to profit from the dumpers.
The risk is that he has to keep so much money on poloniex. Poloniex could get hacked, or there could be a court order to freeze his account, then he will have lost enough money to live from for 20-50 years.
