its like a doubler i guess. Don't take it so seriously, they're just coins. you can have them later when you earn them again. You will double ETH of the users who will invest to your site, you should be richer than the rest who supported ETC.
The emergency of the ETC could mean the Ethereum Foundation has extra money to spend on the Ethereum development.
