I don't give a benefit of the doubt to "speculators". These darknets are already accepting Bitcoin and some of them accept other alternatives too. A lot of the sheep investors who probably think Monero has some exclusive contract, like how businesses are either pepsi or coke. 
Which alternatives? Dash was accepted for a moment by, forgot the name, Nuceuils? market? The market is gone now and dash support in darknet.
