I don't think bitcoin would go back to 100$ each. Right now the price is slowly increasing. There might be some downward trend in the past, but nowadays bitcoin's price is more likely to have upward trend.
I agree that it is unlikely. The only chance I can see for Bitcoin to drop as low, is if a powerful conglomerate forms from the outside, to deliberately bring the coin down in a coordinated manner.
To decrease the factor of the bitcoin conglomerate indeed would not have been possible, but other factors can only run bitcoin. Because the world is not there something not likely to happen, bitcoin can experience it when there's some pretty serious problems and it could not be solved by bitcoin.
