Well, when 1st world countries send donations to poor countries, most or should I rather say, a high percentage of that money goes towards fees to transmit that money. So in the end, MoneyGram or WU or one of these services, makes a ton of profit. If this was send with Bitcoin, the fees will be much lower and these poor people can get a higher percentage of this money. It can also be tracked on the Blockchain, to see if it is going to the correct cause.

but sadly i don't see that many charities or humanitarian organizations accepting bitcoin.
actually i was checking out the bitcoin wiki pages the part about donation accepting organizations and i only saw a tiny charity group on the list with none of the bigger charity organizations there!
