The real question is, Can poor countries help Bitcoin? I don't want people using Bitcoin that only earn $2 a month unless there's a couple of billion of them using it.
Besides, don't they have shit like M-Pesa to send their penny's to each other?
To be completely honest it probably isn't that likely that there would be much value generated for Bitcoin, even if there were a ton of people from poor countries using it, because simply put there either wouldn't be enough drive for them, unless they were able to suddenly make more than $2/month and they understood what they're doing, and they get active within the economy. Having them just own Bitcoin and them doing nothing with it doesn't really help anyone.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind helping the unbanked and all that bla bla. I just don't think there's a reason to go out of our way to target them.
