Tim Draper is probably kicking himself right now because his coins are worth less than he paid for them at auction.
I don't know.... In addition to the coins which he got from the Silk Road auction (close to
BTC30,000 at around $600 per coin), he purchased thousands of additional coins from various exchanges. And right now, it seems that he is almost at break-even.
Those who bought at $600 are probably invested for the long haul. They see the potential in bitcoin that is why they can afford buying that much. Besides, the price has reached 4 digits once, there's no reason to believe it isn't going to reach that price again. The only real question is when. And I'm sure this huge investors have the patience to hold until they have profited enough from it.
