This is not how the world works, currently (and past about 1800 or so). This is not how the world should work, either.
But your later proposals seem to be quite constructive...Only your "idiot-anger" is obscuring the view on things maybe sometimes. Nonetheless I agree with you, that this incident should be used as an opportunity to rethink/improve the "development process".
