I fully synced my mint wallet 2 days ago and turned the wallet off
today I've had it running for 5 hrs and its still not caught up the 2 days of transactions....
It takes my litecoin wallet around 30 secs and my dodgecoin wallet around 5 min for the same period
is this normal ? is there a problem with the mintcoin network?
No problem with the network. You have to remember that both litecoin and dogecoin have migrated to HDF syncing (ported from Bitcoin), as well as their network block generation times being much longer than MINT's.
I understand that but don't understand that without a bit of googling. Is something similar in the pipeline for mint ? As a new mintcoin holder it seems like a massive ball ache to have my wallet open for so long
