Woot seems like luck is on our side today.
over a 72 hour period we made 23 blocks one was a stale.
spilt it in about half and the first 36 hours 4 good blocks 1 stale .
the last 36 hours 18 good blocks. rough but close estimate.
Hmm is this good for non ASIC users though? Yes tthe pool found more blocks but the difficulty went way up and my percentage dropped from .14 / .15% to 11% the second that ASIC came online? Basically its like 1 ASIC owns the pool it seems to me.
Makes no difference to your expected earnings. You earn less but more often - so variance is reduced.
The higher hashrate BitMinter is, the more consistent your earnings are.
Thanks Mate.
Still allot i need to learn that's why i ask

and after reading about Litecoin im note sure its even worth it as Bitcoin is already here and real.
You explained allot and now it makes sense why when the last ASIC dropped we slowed drastically.
Again Thank you for 1 replying to my question and 2 for helping someone so new to bitcoin. Still deciding if its worth buying an ASIC but i have a ton of these GPU's laying around as i am a Custom PC modder also so really cant sell the cards for ASICS.
I was looking at the small ASIC's if it ever becomes a necessary to still be a miner.
I rather enjoy Mining not for the money aspects only but the whole idea and concept. Being a Miner gives you that feeling of actually being part of bitcoin because if we dont mine there is no security or Bitcoins right? or am i misunderstanding it?
