Did you backup ur wallet b4 u installed the new client? Or are u saying u just tried to use the private keys from V1 in the V2 wallet?
found a way to circumnavigate the situation, not that difficult. so no facepalm - if anyone encounters the same issue (or trying to use wallet.dat backup from V1 into V2), have fun and good luck!
i have backup of the wallet.dat and the private keys.
but yes - i tried to use/import the private keys from V1 (v8.0.5) into the V2 (or v8.4.2).
wait...are you going to share with us the details of what happened, and how you solved the problem? You can't just leave us hanging with a 'good luck'
