I bought some to pay for a friend of mine which sold his account on bitcoin talk. Bad thing is I never had any income with that account and just wasted a good amount of money. I wanted to call a gypsy for that. 
No that was not wasting of money especially if that account is at higher rank like Full member upward that was a good investment ypu can get back what you buy bitcoins in a matter of 3-4 weeks . Try to read on and find what signature campaign suits on your ability .Its your first time to bought and ut will be worth it especially if you already earned you can invest it and make it grow.
All he need is to learn more about bitcoin and have to improve his posting quality and he will be able to participate in signature campaigns and will be able to get some profit with that account. It is really not wasting of his bitcoins but it is his fault that he do not have skills.
