Boolberry Network Address Sept. 28th 2016:
This is a summary of information from my perspective, as well as status updates.
The Boolberry network has gained in both health and decentralization since I announced stewardship over the project.
One month ago, the network had a hashrate of 250 megahashes, with one pool having 75% of that hashrate with unreliable uptime.
Today, the network hashrate is 760 megahashes. With several pools functioning on the network as well as solo miners.
Mining and daemon software continues to plague users with stability issues.
The added confidence and anticipation has left market cap hovering around $1,000,000 up from $500,000 when we took stewardship over the project.
Several prior developers have offered some collaboration with the vision. Clintar worked on the Boolberry in the past and is helping analyze commit changes from Monero to help merge the database code in.
CryptoZoidberg has indicated that he has already done the database code in another project and would be merge it in to Boolberry.
This requires further collaboration, because Clintar and I are going to be modifying Boolberry code one way, and CZ indicates he already has a way. We arent going to wait but will follow up with CZ on what he is working on.
Since we announced stewardship, CZ the prior steward of Boolberry has returned from long absence and has been offering some guidance in the project.
The Blockchain Development Company has been researching Boolberry infrastructure improvements. It has Microsoft Bizspark credits which allow the company to run servers in Microsoft Azure. The investigation was to see what would be involved with allowing people to connect to a Boolberry daemon without needing the whole blockchain on their local computer. Or possibly creating a service like MyMonero, until the blockchain database code is merged in.
There are ongoing efforts to get Boolberry listed on Bitsquare which would allow for OTC Boolberry exchange.
Windjc is helping operate a manual OTC Boolberry exchange with trusted escrow agents.
Outside of the cryptocurrency community, Boolberry has a very nonthreatening name while harboring very advanced opaque but auditable technology for transferring value. Investors like it and skeptics ignore it. This is very great branding, compared to other technologies like Shadowcash and Darkcoin and Darkwallet which faced a myriad of branding issues. We will be sticking with Boolberry going forward.
Our very public efforts have gotten the attention of many influential and well funded people in the cryptocurrency community that support our efforts. We will continue to form partnerships with them to support the Blockchain Development Company vision.
The infrastructure updates so far precede updates to Boolberry code, but many people have asked for binaries so we will pursue creating binaries and hosting them on github.
More and more people are using our RUNE EDITION of the Boolberry client, so with network sentiment in our favor we expect to engage the community much more and encounter no issues when it comes to releasing bigger changes to Boolberry in line with the development roadmap.
The reddit is still inactive.
The twitter feeds are still inactive. These things don't look great from an outside perspective.
Communities around the world are still translating Boolberry information into their own languages. Getting good translations for the research paper itself has proven to be a challenge.
