No they actually don't hate bitcoins, most of people actually love bitcoins, if they would hate it there wouldn't be so many shops that accepts bitcoins yet they accept them
There are not many shops that accepts bitcoins and even if there are shops there is no concern with hating it as not all hate bitcoins, people who are using them will surely spend them if they find places to.
you are right, not a lot of people are actually able to spend their bitcoins because there are no shops
