Same happened to me. Xapo locked my verified account without showing any reason. Scam company 
Scam? They are just being careful with the users to avoid criminal misuse.
After having 1 BTC on Xapo they also locked my accounted. After uploading proof of address and verifying my name the account was unlocked instantly. I don't believe they delete your account and take your money.
