Sometimes geth crushed due DDOS, so why i need 1 minute for that. Anyway request flag to reduce time between attempts to connect and ethman tray icon total hashmeter. 
It's good if you found that the problem is not in miner. Use Parity when possible, it works much better than geth, really.
What about tray hashmeter? I have no clue what you mean, sorry.
I use the parity but i don't like it much. It has problem sometimes when DDOS too.
