This is a very nice question i will answer it with my honest question if i'm going to develop time machine i would develop a machine like what you've mention in the starting post to and i will play gambling in present and if i lose i will remember what will be and going to back on that time to win the profit xD.If you will go to the option of time travelling it is very possible that after few years you will have your own travel machine in clean room withut handle..
Maybe just take shot or two Tequilas and go to sleep
