Just wanted to update that I will go through with the verification process since they apparently have the right to identify any suspicious user. And there does not seem to be a way around this. So I guess I have to swallow my pride and go ahead with it

. Once you get your money back, withdraw it immediately! You may be tempted to continue holding your funds at Bitfinex falling a victim to a sort of Stockholm Syndrome, but don't have any illusions about their "rights". Their only "right" right now is to return the stolen funds to their clients.
