It would probably be higher than 5 million by then, here is a article saying that it would reach that mark in 2019 according to a research, though it is just an estimate but it still has some sense.

I thought it was just a prediction of the media alone, in fact you could say bitcoin fairly slow growth. bitcoin already 7 years of life but have not been able to match bitcoin users like paypal and bitcoin is also not well accepted?
I even doubt if the total bitcoin users over 5 million current users?
