There's absolutely no reason whatsoever. Even if in one year's time -and not earlier- the developers were wildly successful in creating the first so-called child chain, Ignis, it would mean absolutely nothing for Ardor. The holders of NXT would get 0.5 for each NXT they hold AT THE TIME. That's all. Any and all proceeds from the other 50% of Ignis -and any and all from subsequent child chains, will go ENTIRELY to the private company the developers just created... oh, yes, those maintaining the network will get minimal crumbs in Ardor which is supposed to benefit from the "name recognition".

This is the actual and complete truth. I know it seems like a bad joke but it's reality for you.
