I think there's something wrong if you seriously consider gambling as way to better your family's life. Let's face it, if we gamble for the wrong reasons, most likely we'll end up either broke or so addicted that we'd lose time for more important things. Spending time with your loved ones should be way for you to avoid being too engaged in gambling.
Just be a responsible gambler if you can't help yourself to stay away from gambling or else that is not going to help you and your family either. But if your family sees you that you can't help yourself to stay away from gambling. Then they are the ones that will do something for you to be able to stay away from gambling.

Its better if your family sees that you want to help yourself stay away from gambling but you can't do it because they are also willing to help you change unlike you are a gambler then you dont wanna change your life ,your family will do a way to stay out to you because sometimes those gamblers dont make a time for their family and the worst is hurting or harming the family members if he is stopping to go and to gamble.
Your family certainly matters to you so if you will not stop gambling you might lose more money and you might also lose them, maybe you have to gauge what is more important to you as I believe we work hard for our family to give them the best life and we are just desperate to make that happen fast that's why we do gambling.
