In our experience, this is the "go to" excuse for whenever a crypto-related site stops paying. It's always funny to see all the admins of failing/unsuccessful sites that have no problems selling their failing/unsuccessful sites, but only mention the fact that they sold it after all the complaints of non-payments start happening. What happened to any form of integrity stating that the site has been sold when it's actually "sold"?
